Weekend in Barcelona

Barcelona was even better than I remembered. The city was alive and colorful and so delicious with artichokes in season and on every menu. I stayed at the beautiful Alma hotel and would go back in a heartbeat.

Park Güell was a highlight of the trip, but it's hard to go too far in Barcelona without stumbling upon another of Gaudi's works. Casa Batlló was my second favorite and it was maybe even more stunning at night.

I found so much inspiration in the shapes, textures and movement of Barcelona. I'd love to return with a bright box of watercolors and a long list of restaurant reservations.
