I recently returned to San Francisco for a week. I spent time with family, I caught up with my friends, I went to Target, but perhaps equally important -- I was reunited with my true love: In-N-Out.
The In-N-Out animal style cheeseburger is something often imitated but never duplicated. There are fancy versions for triple the price; there's an east coast version that's not quite as good (ahem, Shake Shack); but nothing compares to the original. Along with a burrito from my favorite taqueria (Gordo's), a trip back to California is never complete without it. This watercolor painting is a small, tasty reminder of the comforts of home.
